Once upon a time, there was a boy, with 3 years old who was diagnosed autistic. He couldn't make eye contact, nor speak, nor even attend to his name when called. This boy, according to several doctors, was doomed to a miserable life, and his mind could never be reached.
His parents just couldn't accept that, and they started a real fight against such terrible destiny.
Well, they discovered that the vision about autism that those professionals were into, was completely wrong and mistaken -- this happened in Brazil. So, the boy's mom started a campaing to rase money for the boy's hippotherapy. The objective was to get at least one year of treatment, but because of two wounderful people, the boy had more than two years of horse therapy payed. During this period of time, the boy started eye contact, to speak his first words and phrases, and even to express some of his feelings.
His parents now, can afford to continue his horse therapy treatment ...
